A. This is not a typical kennel cough presentation because it would be more consistent. This sounds like a condition called tracheal collapse which often affects small breed dogs. It can be treated pretty well in most cases but if it starts to hinder quality of life then more drastic measures have to be taken (i.e. Surgical correction). I would discuss the options with your veterinarian.
