Q. I think my dog has pulled a tendon playing in he heavy snow. Can I give her aASA for anti inflammatory relief

Answered By

A. I highly advise against giving any over the counter anti-inflammatory medication that is not specifically formulated for pets because they can be toxic to pets and cause acute kidney failure.
The best option is to visit your vet for at the very least an exam, so that proper anti-inflammatory meds like Rimadyl (Carprofen) or Meloxicam can be prescribed with low risk of adverse effects or toxicity to your pet.
