Q. My cat was a feral cat and she now spends more time indoors then outside. My problem is she will not gain weight and her poop smells up the house.

A. If your pet is underweight and poop has an abnormal odor then I would highly recommend getting a fecal test done through your vet to check for intestinal parasites. Pets that get any exposure to outside are more at risk for picking up parasites that will cause smelly poo and usually loose or mushy stool.
Parasite will also cause pets to be malnourished because they are taking vital nutrients out of her food.
