Q. What can I use to relieve my dog from a bad earache until the vet opens on Monday please.

Answered By

A. If your dog is in pain it really should be treated as an emergency. A warm compress may help to relieve mild discomfort and rinsing very gently with warm saline may help to dislodge discharge if present but it really should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible to make sure it does not progress deeper; this is often less costly than waiting! Do not use medications that have not been specifically prescribed for your pet, especially human medications
