Q. Hello I have an American staffy and after today's 40 Gergen heat, he is not eating or drinking and is laying down lifeless what can I do please

Answered By

A. It is important to get him to a vet as an emergency if he has developed heat stroke and will not drink. Try to cool him very slowly with cool, damp towels between his legs and over his ears (remove before the towels become warm and increase the problem) and get him in the shade with a fan over him until you can get an appointment to be checked and treated
