Q. What is your recipe for home cooked chicken cat food so I can be sure I am putting all the right ingredients in it? This is to avoid UT problem.

Answered By

A. Home cooked diets are extremely difficult to balance with regards to trace elements and all the essential proteins for cats and could not be recommended unless fomulated by a veterinary nutrition specialist. The main key to preventing urinary problems in cats is to maintain fluid input and urinary dilution, low salt and to keep the correct pH which is dependent on the specific problem your cat has been diagnosed with.
