A. Sprains in general do not tend to be that painful that he could not walk on it and should always improve with every 24hours that passes after injury and will respond to cold therapy (ice wrapped in a towel for no lobger than 5 mins). Non-weight bearing lameness should always be investigated by a vet for fractures or infections and delaying treatment can result in significant complications
