Q. There is a skin tag in the ear canal of our Silky Terrier. She is constantly scratching. Thought it was hairs, but groomer says it is a skin tag.

I recommend a check up with your local vet or a dermatologist to ensure this is a benign skin tag and not a more sinister growth and whether or not its presence is affecting natural air circulation in the ear and causing secondary infections. It may require medical or surgical treatment in order to eliminate the scratching and discomfort
