A. You need to work with your vet to develop an optimal plan and treat infections etc accordingly. This may involve a day in the clinic to run a blood glucose curve to identify when and for how long the insulin is effective as all dogs respond differently. Never adjust insulin only based on thirst as there are many other reasons he could be drinking extra such as a fever from an infection
