Q. Pads on my Pitbulls feet are very dry and rough. Is this normal? What should I put on them so she isn't scratching me up with them?

A. This is relatively common, especially if she walks on harsh or salty surfaces. A plain hydrating cream such as a silcocks base or lanolin can help, apply socks after applying to allow it to absorb and not be licked off immediately! A fish oil or coconut oil supplement in the diet may also help as would walking in boots if she crosses a lot of hard or uneven ground
