Q. My cat has just had kittens about three weeks ago and just now she has started peeing blood and it is freaking me out completely and really worried

Answered By

A. This may be a urinary tract infection or may be from the lining of her womb, both of which are quite common. She should be checked by a vet as soon as possible to treat any infection which may be present. If you can get an early appointment I would keep the kittens away from her and feed them some moist kitten food to prevent her from passing any infection on if it is present

A. She may have a urinary infection and she may need to be seen to discriminate between different causes of cystitis (infection of the bladder).I am afraid I cannot help you any further unless I have more informations about her. Please request a consultation or take her to your veterinarian for a consultation and appropriate treatment.
