Q. My 6-7 month old kitten is leaking a lot of bloody discharge from her vagina. Is it possible she may have miscarried from her first heat?

Answered By

A. It is possible she is having or losing kittens or may have a womb infection which would require treatment by a vet. An ultrasound scan would identify what is happening internally. If you do not wish to breed, neutering will eliminate any infection and also prevent recurrence of bleeding and discharge
