Q. My nine months old pit mix was took to get neutered three months ago and they couldnt find his balls in his abdomen. Should I try again now?

A. If you have had him from a young pup then yes, the retained testicles should be removed as soon as possible as they are a high risk for turning cancerous. Check with any previous owner that the surgery was not performed previously and consider hormone testing or referral to a specialist surgeon if they cannot be located because absence is extremely rare
