Q. My dog was in a fight and her ear is pretty chewed up what should I clean it with and treat it with. I can't afford to take her to vet

A. Remove any blood dirt and hair that may be in the wounds with warm water. If there is a lot of bleeding , take a clean, preferably ironed (hot ironing kills bacteria) dish towel or compresses and Press on the bleeding wounds until they stop bleeding. Your dog likely needs antibiotics to kill of any beginning infection and painkillers would be nice too. You should call the local shelter or animal control. They may be able to tell you where there is a low cost veterinary clinic in your area.
