Q. My dog was off balance fell over and got back up walked into the wall and vomited 3 or 4 times, what might be causing this? He is a 10 year old yorkie

A. There is a possibility that your dog is suffering from vestibular syndrome. This is a condition of old dogs that happens suddenly. The dogs often exhibit fast side to side or up to down rapid eye movement and /or a head tilt, and or have balance issues, etc. It sort of appears like a mini stroke. Sometimes the signs you describe can also come from an inner ear infection. You need to take your dog to a vet for an exam and a prescription according to the cause.
