Q. is 333 to high for a cat that has just been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus?she is 14 yrs old and in pretty good shape.they almost have her stabalize

Answered By

A. 333 is still high, but a lot better than 450 or higher. We try to stabilise cats in the 200's so your kitty is getting there. Often cats can go into remission with the right diet and live on without insulin, But usually, at first , insulin is vital to stabilize the diabetes.
