Q. i have a 1year american pitbull his colon is partailly out have had a vet put it back but he is still not passin any waste can a laxative work

A. Please do npot give your dog a laxative, it can actually aggravate the condition your dog suffers from. Depending on when the prolapsed rectum was replaced to its natural position, it may take a while for normal defecation to take place. You want to make sure his feces are soft, so feed extra fiber (canned pumpkin works well, not pumpkin pie filling).
