Q. My dog has dark runny feces. He is acting fine and eating and drinking normally. I read online it could mean internal bleeding but I don't know

A. Usually blood in feces can show either as red blood (then it comes from the rectum or colon, or it is black and tarry looking (then it is digested blood from the upper intestinal tract). Runny feces are not normal. Let your dog fast for 12-24 hrs, then start feeding a blend diet (rice with broth, then rice with chicken, then slowly introduce his normal food). If the diarrhea does not cease, you need to take your dog to a vet. Bring a fresh stool sample.
