A. It sounds like a polyp. These are quite common and are usuallg benign. They can however make your dog more likely to get ear infections as they will trap moisture, debris, and wax in the ear canal. Therefor it is imoprtant to keep your dogs ear clean. Once a week cleaning with an over the counter ear cleaner should be sufficient for maintenance. Also be sure not to be too rough with the cleanings as this could cause the polyp to ulcerate. If you notice the polyp getting bigger or looking "angry" a quick trip to the vet is a good idea. They can do a fine needle aspirate where they get some cells out of it. Then they can tell you for sure what it is and make the appropriate reccomendation.
