Q. I think my dog eat something that wasn't suppose to be eaten and he keeps gagging what do I do?? Please help:(

A. It sounds like it might be caught in his throat or it irritated his throat on the way down. Without knowing what it was, inducing vomiting may not be a good idea as it could cause more damage coming back up as it would moving through. If he will let you, open his mouth and see if there is something caught in his mouth or around his tongue, like hair or string. If there is, DO NOT PULL IT BACK UP. Cut it free of his tongue and let it go down. This may offer relief on its own. If you can't see anything and he continues to gag, he needs to be seen by a vet right away for an exam and treatment.
