Q. My dogs nail split apart from the inner layer pretty bad but the vet just trimmed it down. It's still wiggly and she's uncomfortable. What should I do

A. If she won't tear it off an swallow it, you can put a light tape bandage on it to help keep it from moving too much. Really, it will stay sore for a few days, but it's a little bit like tearing your own fingernail too short. It's sore but not too bad and not causing any further damage.
