Q. Hi my puppy is not eating or drinking. She seems very tired and has diarrhea. Could medicine we got from the vet be the cause?

Answered By

A. Without knowing what kind of medicine she is on I can't really speculate. However, if she was fine before starting the medicine and the symptoms started afterward, it is a possibility. Since she is still not eating and drinking, I recommend getting her in to see a vet right away, especially if these symptoms have been going on for more than a couple of days. Young dogs can dehydrate very easily and the resulting electrolyte imbalance can adversely affect their heart function.
