Q. My dog is 14 years old, South African boerbul x ridgeback. Her front left leg is swollen and she has a round lump under the chest. What could it be?

Answered By

A. She could have an injury with associated lymph node swelling, she could also have an infection, or a tumor, just to name a few. I recommend getting her seen by your vet as soon as possible, especially if she is lame on that leg. Your vet will do an exam and lab work as well as x-rays to determine the cause of her condition and be able to offer you treatment options based on the results.
