Q. Watery and apear to be raw and irritated with staining of the fur below the eyes

Answered By

A. Your kitten could have a viral or bacterial infection in that eye or may have injured the eye. I recommend getting him seen by your vet as soon as possible for an ophthalmic exam. Your vet will thoroughly check the eye, probably staining it with a special dye that will show any injuries to the cornea very clearly under a black light. It's important to know what the cause for the drainage is, because the treatment for one problem could potentially be ineffective or even damaging if there is an injury.
