A. It's worth getting checked by your vet, especially if this is a new behavior. She may be uncomfortable or in pain and she's trying to tell you something isn't right. It may even be a change in her breathing pattern making the sound which could indicate some extra effort in her breathing, due to an upper respiratory condition, or possibly a heart condition. Your vet will do an exam, labwork and possibly x-rays to determine the cause of her making the sound and based n the results will be able to advise you further on her condition and be able to offer treatment options if needed.
