Q. Hi, we have a 6 year old female cat who cries or miows most of the day. What could it be, shes doing it for a long time

Answered By

A. Crying could indicate pain, from skeletal or soft tissue origins. She could have bladder stones, an infection, pain from her bowels due to food sensitivities or eating something she shouldn't have, there are a large number of reasons why she does this. If she has always done it, she may just be a talker. I recommend getting her seen by your vet for an exam, labwork and possibly x-rays to determine the reason she is crying.
