Q. My cat has a puss filled lump on her paw and it looks like it has split open. I don't have much money for a vet is there anything I can do at home?

A. If there is pus, there is likely infection. She may require antibiotics to heal. You can apply a warm compress for some relief and to promote drainage but she should really be seen by a vet. Call and ask about low cost clinics in the area that may be able to work within your budget.
