Q. Hi, If I were to get a puppy, and attend school and not have someone home for 6-8 hours a day four days a week, and have the puppy in an exercise pen

Answered By

A. Puppies need to be let out frequently since they don't have the bowel or bladder control that an older dog possesses. A pup should only be crated 1 hour for each month of age plus an additional hour. Consider having a friend, family member or pet sitter let the pup out several times daily or do not get one until you can devote the proper amount of time to it.
