A. See your vet for an exam to rule out medical causes for the obesity. Discuss a weight loss diet with the vet as well. If you feed dry food, transition to a quality canned food. One that comes from the can looking like a hockey puck. Stay away from minced or diced foods as well as foods with sauces or gravies. These typically are high in carbohydrates which can contribute to the obesity. Treat the scrape as indicated by your veterinarian.
