Q. My dog is from the south and she is a catahoula leopard dog. Her paws are peeling and has sores not sure how it is happening I bought her boots

Answered By

A. The boots are a good idea. When she isn't wearing them, place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent licking or chewing. An exam with your vet is recommended, if only to prevent or treat infection. Consider a biopsy of the area to rule out autoimmune conditions. A consult with a veterinary dermatologist is always recommended.
