Q. My dogs allergic to fleas. When I was gone one day chewed himself in area on his back. Can't afford a vet. Where do I get and what do I use to clean?

Answered By

A. Place an e-collar (cone) on him to prevent further chewing. If the skin is not broken, you can try a 50/50 dilution of water and organic, raw, UNfiltered apple cider vinegar. If the skin is broken, he is at risk for infection and, ideally, should see a vet. An OTC triple antibiotic ointment may help with minor abrasions but he needs an e-collar to keep him from licking off any topical treatment.
