Q. Scout had itching so we added a half can wet food and 1 TBL EVOO to his diet daily. Now 28# male spanial mix w distended firm tummy. No fecal in yard.

A. Monitor for vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. Decrease the amount of EVOO, divide it between meals or switch your dog to a quality fish oil supplement which provides both EPA and DHA that may be better absorbed. Try feeding a bland diet until your dog is feeling better. If you notice any of the above symptoms, difficulty breathing or pale gums, seek veterinary attention.
