Q. If my lab had a litter of 8 puppipy and out of that litter 1 has strangles should she be bred again. Is there any testing to determin if it will happe

Answered By

A. Juvenile cellulitis, or strangles, is a poorly understood condition. It is thought to be an immune mediated condition with a possibly hereditary aspect. There is no test that will determine if a puppy will be affected. Your bitch may never have another pup with strangles again, but that is not known with 100% certainty.
