Q. Dog had bad knee on left side, muscle were half of right, they operated on right. Said it was the worst, but she couldn't stand on left, right wrong?

Answered By

A. There is no right or wrong in this case. Both knees require repair. Fixing the left side first would put all the weight on the knee in the worst condition but fixing the right knee first puts the weight on the weaker leg. You can use a towel as a sling under the abdomen to support your dog in walking. Physical therapy will also begin to build the strength in the left leg.
