Q. my vet prescribed restasis for my dog's eyes but he fights me. Is there a pill for dry eyes?

Answered By

A. There are no oral medications to manage this condition but vitamins A,C, E and B complex may be of benefit. Try wrapping him in a large towel with just his head poking out. Treat the eyes then praise and reward him afterwards. It may take 2 people initially.

A. There is no pill to treat dry eye unfortunately, there is an eye ointment though, which is usually easyer to apply as you can put it on your finger prior to applying. it's called "optimmune".
