Q. Strain muscles. Eating but not her self. What can we give her.

Answered By

A. Do not give any medications to your pet without the advice of your veterinarian. Restrict her activity to just leash walks to eliminate. Avoid excessive running, jumping or playing. If the strain/discomfort does not subside, your veterinarian should see her.

A. You cannot give her any human pain killers unfortunately, most of these are highly toxic to dogs. if she is limping try to restrict movement as much as possible - short walks, not stairs, no jumping.

If she doesn't get better within a few days - take her to the vet, if it's a pain issue they will prescribe dog pain killers.
