Q. my cat has a gash on top of his head and its infected i am cleaning it with a warm compress and neosporan and how much benadryl do i give him

Answered By

A. If your cat's wound is not showing improvement after a day or two I would suggest taking him to the veterinarian. More severe infections require oral antibiotics and depending how large the cut is, he may need to have it derided and surgically closed. Benadryl is not appropriate to give him in this situation as it is an allergy medication.
