Q. Cat has kidney disease how do I get him to eat prescribed food.

Answered By

A. Renal diets come in several formulas. Try encouraging him with either dry or wet food. Some diets come in pate while others are chunks. You can warm the wet food to make it more appetizing. You can also try adding warm water to the dry food to make it almost like a soup. If these strategies do not work, there are several different brands of prescription renal diets that you can try. Many of the companies will refund the purchase if your cat does not enjoy the food.
