Q. found 3 mucousy blood clot-looking small piles from Yorkiepoo. She seems perfectly fine. Could this be her anal glands rupturing? Not happened befor

Answered By

A. I don't think it is anal gland secretion as anal glands have a VERY distinct bad odor and the fluid is oily and brown. The mucus clot you are seeing could be from vomit, diarrhea, or vagina discharge (if she is not spayed). I'd continue to watch her closely and contact your veterinarian if you notice that she is producing this bloody substance again.
