Q. Why do all dog sizes get 1ml of each vaccine? Why does a 2 pound chihuahua get the same ammount as a 100 pound great dane?

Answered By

A. This is a great question! I would say that it is to create a standardized process and to guarantee that each animal is getting enough of the vaccine to properly generate an immune response. I can understand the concern this may raise, but vaccines are researched in regard to dogs of all shapes and sizes. The amount of vaccine that is administered is safe regardless of how big or small your pet may be.
