Q. What can I give my dog who has been fighting flea. Dermitis for about 6 years now , was taking her to the vet but can't affrod that now, PLEASE HELP i

A. Flea dermatitis can be resolved by eliminating the flea problem. Keep your dog on a monthly preventative year round and make sure you are treating your house for the problem. You can give diphenhydramine (1mg per pound) to help relieve the itching but in severe cases of dermatitis your pet will need antibiotics and other medication from your veterinarian.
