Q. Re diet, I am told that a kitten/cat stores fat in the "pouch" under their belly - is this true? so therefore a lean kitten would have no "pouch"

Answered By

A. Cats can have fat deposits in their stomach pouches, but they can also have fat deposits dispersed in other places on their bodies. Kittens don't typically have pouches as they are more commonly developed in older cats. Lean cats can still have pouches because it is technically just loose skin.
