Q. Male cat, neutered. House bound 5yrs. Continuously scratching & licking. Leaves scabs. Has been treated for fleas. What can I do to relieve his pain?

Answered By

A. He can have allergic reaction to fleas. You should see a vet to get drugs that will stop it. You can try with clemastine or diphenhydramine in dose 1-2 mg per kilo but they can give poor effect in animals. You should also see a vet to check if there is no other underlying disease like skin infection, other parasite, allergy to food, mites etc.
