Q. My dog just had what we think is a seizure. He began by opening his mouth, like there was something stuck in his throat

Answered By

A. You should take him to your local vet for a check (clinical examination and blood test). This should help to distinguish epileptic seizure from other causes of seizures. Your dog may not need any treatment for now but it is important to make sure he doesn't have any obvious metabolic disease which may lead to a seizure / faint
