Q. My cat is coughing and swallowing a lot. He is sleeping all day and night. Hasn't got up to eat or drink in two days... Nose is dry.

Answered By

A. He may have upper airways infection, throat irritation, scratch or swelling in the throat or even a foreign body (usually a piece of grass blade). I would recommend to take him to your vets for examination and to get treatment. Your vet may advise throat examination under sedation to find out what is going on.
