Q. My cat cries to go out but can't as she's deaf, how can I make her a happier cat?

Answered By

A. If your cat is desiring to explore the outdoors, it may be a good idea to purchase a harness and leash for her. That way you could safely bring her outside into your backyard with supervision. This would allow her to explore the area without wandering away and may help satisfy her need to be outside.

If she cannot go out at all, adding interactive puzzle toys such as ones with hidden treats, hanging feather toys or other fun things from doorknobs, or increasing playtime with your cat can all help. These will encourage her to explore and interact with objects indoors, and can alleviate some boredom.
