Q. Why does my cat drop his toys in his water dish?

Answered By

A. If your cat is busy playing with a toy, it is possible that he may just drop it there when he becomes thirsty and wants to drink. It may also be a bit of a game for him as he now gets to fish the toy back out of the bowl again! If your cat seems interested, filling a tub with a small amount of water (cat-ankle deep) and putting some water-safe toys in it may be a fun enrichment activity that your cat will enjoy.
