Q. Our dog has enlarged lymph nodes under his neck chest he is a Pitbull and we think he's 13 or 14 years old is this cancer?

Answered By

A. It would be very hard to tell what is causing the enlarged lymph node without testing from your veterinarian. They would likely want to perform tests such as blood work to check for infections, X-rays or ultrasound to look at the growth, or take a sample of the growth/lymph node itself to send to a lab for testing. The lab would then determine if the mass is cancerous, and your vet could go over treatment options with you depending on the cause and severity. It is best to make an appointment with your vet.
