Q. My kitten has very thin hair (his white skin shows through) & his whiskers have been breaking off. Healthy looking eyes, nose & ears. Eats a lot!

A. Thinning or patchy hair may indicate an issue such as external parasites or a skin infection, or could be related to the growth of your kitten. If you cannot find an outward apparent cause such as fleas (which can be treated with a monthly medication as well as cleaning/vacuuming areas your kitten frequents), then scheduling a vet check up to look for other underlying causes may be best.
