Q. Cat has subliminadar. on Tuesday he had a shot and oral antibiotics. We see No difference in size of nodes. Is this ok?

Answered By

A. If the submandibular nodes are still swollen after antibiotics it may be time for further testing. Your vet may be able to aspirate a sample from the swollen area which can be sent to a lab to test for specific bacterial strains or additional causes such as tumors. This may help your vet to pinpoint a medication to treat the specific infectious cause, or to find additional treatment in helping with the swelling.
